Slip Rings in Advanced Marine Development Equipment by JINPAT

As an important power transmission component, slip rings are widely used in various mechanical devices. In the marine development equipment industry, slip rings play an indispensable role. JINPAT, a professional slip ring manufacturer, provides a wide range of conductive slip rings for marine equipment.

In engineering vessels, such as small-tonnage telescopic arm cranes and ultra-heavy lifting cranes with steel cable drum hoisting and retracting systems, conductive slip rings are required. To meet different application environments, JINPAT has developed conductive slip rings for marine cranes, all of which adopt an open-frame structure for the high-current series. These products operate at high voltages and transmit large amounts of power. To ensure reliability, JINPAT engineers integrate heating and cooling devices or both inside the products. Additionally, for conductive slip rings used on offshore oil drilling platforms, JINPAT incorporates explosion-proof design to ensure safe and stable operation.

The LPA000-09800-01PE-3020-04L high-current slip ring developed by JINPAT is a high-current gas-liquid dual-module conductive slip ring designed for professional offshore crane vessels. The high-current module integrates 9 channels of 800A and 1 ground channel, with a voltage of 440VAC, and the remaining 30 channels are 20A with a voltage of 230VAC. In offshore equipment, the most common voltage and current ranges for conductive slip rings are single-channel currents below 1000A and voltages between 380VAC to 600VAC. However, for certain special-purpose offshore equipment, the voltage may be even higher. For example, some deep-sea geophysical research vessels often use conductive slip rings with working voltages above 4000VAC.

Under the same power transmission capacity, higher voltage means lower current, and higher voltage can transmit electricity over greater distances. Therefore, in some deep-sea exploration research vessels, conductive slip rings with working voltages above 4000VAC are commonly used. These marine conductive slip rings generally fall into two types. Traditional carbon brush open-frame conductive slip rings are larger in size, with representative products such as LPA000-0250-FO04. The other type of product uses a laminated structure, instead of the open-frame structure found in regular conductive slip rings. This type uses special plastics that can withstand ultra-high voltages as insulation material, ensuring that the conductive slip ring operates normally under voltages of 4000VAC or higher. A representative model of these slip rings is LPA000-2650-06S.
